The Last Flower
The Last Flower. A modern dystopian take on classic Welsh folk tale, Blodeuwedd. Set in a desolate near future, a remote factory hums along and Lleu, the dangerously charming owner and scientist creates BLOD, a symbol of new life and a brighter future. Upon awakening to her new life, BLOD grows suspicious of this place she is to call home and so together with the help of the workers in the factory - They uncover the truth.
ABOUT THE YOUNG GOLLECTIVE.
The National Theatre Wales's Young Collective is a group of 8 early-career artists aged 18-28 working across acting, dance, music, writing and directing. Over the next year, were helping further develop their practice through mentorship, self and group-led projects, placements and shadowing opportunities. This activity culminates in an end-of-year project, showcasing the brilliant creativity of the group and what they have learnt throughout the year.
